Our foundation

Our agency promotes healing for the whole person and affordable mental health

South County Christian Counseling was the dream that Dr. Mary Jo Schneller conceived 20 plus years ago. Dr. Schneller wanted to offer services to help those individuals who were experiencing challenges and wanted counseling. She saw the need for a group that promoted healing for the whole person. She saw the need for an agency that bridged the gaps between state agencies and private Christian therapy.

Dr. Schneller knew this required expertise for counseling professionals from multiple disciplines. In an effort to meet this need she contacted universities that offered counseling from a biblical perspective but also provided state licensure. The counselors associated with South County Christian Counseling are all degreed and educated in either Christian Counseling, state accredited programs, or both.

Dr. Schneller is a firm advocate for affordable mental health and we do our best to provide excellent care at affordable rates. South County Christian does not currently take insurance but we do offer super bills that can be sent to your insurances company. If your insurance accepts super-bills you can get reimbursement from your insurance company. If not South County offers competitive pricing for services. We do offer reduced & sliding scale options. Our reduced fees are limited and require proof of income. We will do our best to work out an affordable rate.

We have lead groups in weight loss and nutritional education, and boundaries. We provide professional and Biblical based counseling services that is directed toward healing. Our focus is to strengthen and improve the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well being of my clients. We also provide training seminars on nutrition and weight loss workshops, addictions/co-dependency/boundaries.
